The EPMAN Titanium Turbo Heat Shield Blanket reduces turbo lag and shortens turbo spool time while significantly lowering under-hood temperatures. It is an excellent heat barrier that protects the hood, hoses and painted surfaces from residual heat damage.

Stainless steel anchoring hooks are incorporated into the shield, and free spring clips are included, so securing the blanket to your turbo is fast and easy. A tough titanium outer layer protects against heat loss, burns, oil spills, abrasions and road grime.

Made from pulverized volcanic rock strained into a fibre material, the Titanium Turbo Shield withstands direct heat up to 1800°F and radiant heat up to 2500°F. The result is more heat retained in the turbine, less damaging under-hood heat, a cooler air intake temperature and a boost in horsepower.

T25 vs T3 — Are They Interchangeable?

In the automotive aftermarket, most major manufacturers (such as DEI, PTP and Thermal Zero) design their T25 blankets to share the exact same outer dimensions as a standard T3 blanket. However, they are tailored differently on the side to accommodate the turbine housing shape.

While a T25 blanket shares the 19-inch outer circumference with a T3 blanket, it is not always interchangeable due to the wastegate setup. Most T25 / T28 turbos use an internal wastegate, so dedicated T25 turbo blankets feature a specific cutout / notch on the side. This clearance allows the wastegate actuator arm and flapper valve linkage to move freely without being bound or melting the blanket.
